Starbucks Workers Are On Strike: No Coffee, No Contract

Nov 14, 2025

Starbucks Workers United, the union that has won elections at more than 600 stores nationwide, is on an open-ended, national unfair labor practice strike during the busiest season of the year, to protest union-busting and get the pay and hours baristas deserve.

Last week, baristas announced that if Starbucks doesn’t offer a fair contract, they would strike. Workers didn’t come to this decision lightly. They take pride in their jobs. But Starbucks has been stalling, breaking the law, and breaking promises from the moment this union started, it’s time to show that the union is serious.

Here’s what you can do to help: Sign the ‘No Contract, No Coffee’ pledge before the strike starts–and don’t shop at Starbucks while baristas are on strike!

Starbucks’ CEO, Brian Niccol, earned $96 million last year, and commutes from southern California to Seattle in a private jet. But when Starbucks workers made demands at the negotiating table that were simple and affordable, Starbucks walked away. Here’s what’s at stake:

  • Better hours so stores aren’t constantly short-staffed
  • Higher take-home pay so we can cover rent and groceries
  • Real accountability for the company’s union-busting and unfair labor practices

The difference between the contract workers deserve and the contract corporate has offered is less than one average day’s sales. These changes would make Starbucks better for workers and better for customers. No one wants to go on strike. But corporate CEOs like Brian Niccol gave workers no choice.

Stand with Starbucks workers! Sign the No Contract, No Coffee pledge!

In solidarity,

The Labor Force

P.S. We need as many folks as possible to take action in solidarity with Starbucks workers to keep up the pressure on Brian Niccol and Starbucks. Can you share this pledge with your friends and family, and encourage them to patronize your local coffee shops instead? Thank you!
