Last week, members of CAUSE, the independent union of Amazon workers, rallied at not one but three Amazon facilities in Durham, NC where the union is actively organizing.
Workers and allies marched on management to demand an end to Amazon’s union-busting and lies and called for a town hall for workers to hear from both Amazon and CAUSE in an open and fair setting.

Since workers began organizing at the Durham warehouses, Amazon has come down hard with its worn, Orwellian union-busting playbook. Playing anti-union propaganda in endless loops on big-screen TVs throughout the warehouses. Spreading blatant misinformation and lies about the union. Flying in anti-union consultants who are paid $2,200 a day. Meanwhile, Amazon workers in Durham are struggling just to feed their families.
CAUSE members have made a formal demand to building leaders for an open town hall about unionization at each of the three facilities in Durham, with representatives from both Amazon and CAUSE present to field questions, but so far Amazon has refused this request.
Amazon workers deserve to hear the facts about unionizing and decide freely for themselves, without fear or intimidation. Amazon’s refusal shows one thing: Amazon is scared of worker power and frightened of the truth.
